SAS choose two continuous availability servers   (08/09/2008)

Scottish Ambulance Service chose MIS-SE to supply and install two top of the range Stratus ftServers to host their mission critical MIS Alert.C3 CAD System during a recent relocation of operations to new premises.

SAS needed a hardware infrastructure that could deliver 99.999% or better uptime which is why a Stratus continuous availability server hardware platform was recommended and selected over the traditional two-node cluster configuration.

The solution also uses a combination of SQL Server real-time database mirroring for additional business continuity protection and transactional replication to provide scale-out performance for reporting and business intelligence services.
