This is the preferred, unrivalled Business Continuity Solution for your IT environment which builds on the Offsite Backup Service to offer access to your data hosted at MIS within minutes of a disaster striking.

In a Disaster Recovery scenario users could gain access to your data via any standard Internet connection and web browser. The connection would be secured by SSL using a Citrix Secure Gateway Server and STA enabling staff to work from home or laptops with 3G.

Our Business Continuity Hosting Services offers the following key elements;

  • Overnight backup to MIS via VPN of critical data including ActiveH, (Universe & SQL), HAMIS, MISAC and DAME etc.
  • Restore of secured data with email confirmation and restore logs
  • Backup/Restore operation checked daily by MIS Systems Engineers
  • Dedicated Hosting Server for exclusive use
  • Storage for up to 7 backup images at MIS
  • Access to ‘restored’ data & applications at MIS via SSL Secured Citrix Gateway from any client with a web browser at any location in the event of a disaster
  • Delivery of offsite equipment to any Disaster Recovery site (previously agreed in writing) and onsite assistance in the event of catastrophic communications failure

Should you need to invoke disaster recovery procedures we would immediately enable access to the offsite system at the MIS Data Centre, as we hold a dedicated server for each of our customers which is restored on a daily basis this can normally be achieved within minutes and would be available to anyone with a standard web browser and internet access.

In the event of a prolonged disaster recovery period (several weeks) we provide the option of relocating the offsite server to your existing or new premises, if required.

As with all our Disaster Recovery Services we would invite you to test both yours and our procedures at least once per annum.
